Whats the difference between a Barred Rock, Dominique, and Cuckoo Maran? Their feathering looks the same to me....

    Ok not an expert

But I can tell you the barred rock has distinct bars and the dominiques don't

The Barred Rocks lay a Brown egg but the Marans lay a chocolate egg.

Barred Rocks have a single comb while Dominiques do not. (rose?)

Yes, barred rocks and dominiques look identical other than the rocks have single combs and dominiques have a rose comb. I think it's rose, could be pea, anyway it's not single. As for the other, I don't know.

If you will go to the top of the screen and click on 'BREEDS', then click the link to breeds index, you will find descriptions and pictures of most of the breeds. You can also get good descriptions and characteristics from sites for the major hatcheries . ............stan
