...Coturnix and Jumbo Coturnix? Thanks!
Jumbos are larger........is this a trick question?
Quote:Jumbos are just a variety of Coturnix... they are Pharaoh variety bred to be larger and mature faster. (Although, when I say faster, how can you get faster than 8-10 weeks? )
Color wise, the pharaohs are prettier
LOl not a trick question... just wanted the specifics (how much bigger, how much faster) etc.
I know, just being GOOFY. I raise Jumbo, but know nothing about standard Coturnix.
Do you have any pictures I could see?
I have about 60 of these at various ages.
They are the mellowest birds I've ever seen. I started with 8 a few months back & now have about 70
Awesome little birds.
My hens started laying at 6 weeks on the day. They get to about 8 oz. from what I hear, but I've never weighed one.
Wow those are cool (and cute!) I want some!
I should be getting 2 standard (I think) Coturnix later this month... I'll post pics when I do.
I thought the jumbos were more like 16 oz?
