Between an EE and an Americana? They both lay blue and green eggs right? I want a colorful egg basket and I don't know which breed I should get...

Well, read the links that Chris posted. And if you really want for sure blue eggs, do not get an Easter Egger. Some do lay blue, but they may also lay green or even plain old brown, being mixed breed.

OK EE are not a breed they are a mix or mutts. They lay any color mostly green, brown, white and blue. Most of late are laying brown from what I have been reading. It is a crap shoot to what color your will lay. Ameraucana is a breed and only lays blue or tuqusie color eggs. AmerIcana is another name for EE. Not the Breed has no I in the spelling only the mix does.
