What's the saddest Poultry loss you've had?

Mine has to be my first loss, I lost my Sebright Frizzle Bantam, Fiz.

A Buff Orpington hen last fall to a starving feral tomcat. She would come into the coop and sing to me as I gathered eggs. I have since adopted the tomcat which is pretty amazing as my younger self would have killed it.
