What's the wackiest thing your chickens have done lately?

My mind is a blank, other than my chickens pining for the meanie I had to put in an isolation pen. They sometimes lay outside her cage and commiserate.

I guess all the color has gone out of their day, now that they're not getting beaten up by Attila the Hen.

Well, we just have chicks right now but they are hilarious to watch. One particular sassy little chickie runs back and forth at top speed to wherever we are. Sometimes going headfirst into the barrier. My daughter took her finger, ran it up and down and sideways across the brooder and the chicks head bobbed around watching every move.

This one also squawks, has a terrible fit if its feet get wet.

I have hanging food and water containers next to each other and one day I went out to check the water level, and my Speckled Sussex was taking a pellet of food from the food container and dropping it into the water container...over and over again! the water was full of soggy food!

This isn't recent..but I used to have an Orp Roo that jumped up to reach the wild bird feeder so he could get a free meal. He would flap on it with his wings to knock the seed out. Then him and his harem would eat it..then he would do it again and again until it was empty..lol.

Here's one that is not a chicken story..but a turkey story. They say turkeys are dumb..I beg to differ.

I had a Black Spanish turkey named Herman. I would call "Herman!!! and he would come. Then I would say Gobble Gobble..and he would..about 98% of the time..on command.
Pretty good for a dumb turkey I'd say!!

Ok , here it is the craziest thing my 5 month old roo has done, We caught him doing the nasty to the floor, it was the funnest thing ever i wish i had a video cam.

I had picked up some chickens from the next town over and wasn't familiar with them. One day I heard a pinking noise coming from the hens cage. Well I just forgot about it and went about my yard work. Well the noise kept on & on! After about 30 minutes I went over to see what it was. I had feed this hen in a aluminum potpie pan that I taken from the trash(recycled!)
When I looked, she had pecked so many dents in it, it looked like a handmade Chinese wok! The pan was twice it's normal size!
