Whats too much grit?

I put out a small pet bird dish (1/2 cup) of grit for my three 12 week pullets about 5 days ago. It is almost gone, is this too much?

I wouldn't worry. I feed mine grit free choice. They know what they need.

No, they will eat whatever they need and not more.
