What's up with the color of my eggs?

I have had my chickens for almost a year now. They are a Golden Sex Link and have pretty brown eggs, but lately within these last few weeks they are almost white! Why would they all of a sudden change the color? Could it be because I changed the brand of feed? Right now they are eating Layena (sp). Only because that's what was available at the time since my regular feed store was closed and I needed the feed right then. Anyway... any info would be ease my mind. Thank you!

I know that with Welsummers (who lay dark brown eggs) the eggs start off really dark and get lighter as time goes on. They get dark again after they've taken some time off from laying, such as in the winter or when they moult. I don't know if this is also the case with Gold Sex Links, but it may be. It's like a printer cartridge running low on ink
