i just noticed my rooster has what appears to be a growth on his eye? I'm not sure what it is. It does seem to be bothering him a bit.
Is there anything I can do?

I am not a vet, but I wonder if he has been injured, and that is a torn nictitating membrane (third eyelid?) I would flush the eye with a little saline or eye wash, and apply Terramycin eye ointment 2-3 times a day. If you can get Terramycin then use plain Neosporin ointment. Here is some info about the third eyelid:

Thank you so much for the response and help! He's a super gentle and sweet rooster and sometimes the hens (his favorite actually) pick on him a little. I wouldn't at all be surprised if she pecked him in the eye. I'm going to get the Terramycin right now!
