Whats wrong with my baby?

My little chick has this thing on its butt I don't know what it is or how to help the poor thing. Mom thinks it's his innards I think its poop. It's like rock hard. Chicks still eating and drinking soo..... Can anyone help?

What you have there is probably pasty butt (poop on the feathers near the vent). Pasty Butt <-- here is an article with a little bit of information about it. Please clean it as soon as possible! Best regards, P

I agree it’s pasty butt. This can become an emergency if the chick can’t poop. Maybe put vaseline on it to soften the poop before going too crazy on bathing a baby chick.
