what's wrong with my bird?

I have a hen who today won't come off the roost, just, sits with her eyes closed like she is slesleeping. When I put her on the ground she won't run away just stands there then hops back to the top roost! Any idea's? No cough or weezing in the chest.

She could possibly be eggbound or egg impacted, she may have lice/mites, or she might need to be wormed. What is her age? When was the last time she layed an egg? Have you visually inspected her for external parasites? Have you wormed her? What does her poop look like? What are you feeding her? Any facial swelling, bubbly or runny eyes/nostrils, head shaking? Please provide more info if you would.

Never layed that I know of age is unknown, no parasites and no watery eyes nostrils etc. Nothing visual wrong

Why don't you bring her inside your house to take a look on her poops for a while?

If you can take pictures of them, they would be helpful for any members.

How about her comb?

bring her in my house is not an option, her comb is regular color

Could you keep eye on her until she poops? So you can see what kind of poops she does.

i will try, what exactly would i be looking for? And what would it mean, how to treat it etc?
