Lately my hen has been quite broody. She is a black australorp and she is about 3 yrs old. Today i was letting my chickens out for a run and I noticed she was pecking at her wing. It was bloody and she had what looked like flesh on her beak. She was missing some feathers and there has been a lot of feathers around the pen/coop. It also looks like there might be a egg stuck in her vent but I'm not really sure its a egg and I looked up eggbound symptoms and she doesnt really have any except for bleeding. The werid thing is besides all this her behavior isn't really abnormal except she has been going on her perch before the others. This hen gets broody a lot during the year so thats not really concerning me as much. I'm really worried about her. Help?!
