whats wrong with my egg

    whats the deal with this egg. Not the first one i have got but it is the worse. This stuff crumbles right off with water????????????????

    It's excess calcium. Are you feeding oyster shell?

    Calcium deposits are not unusual, but that's quite a bit. I have heard that sometimes it is worse with age, but I don't know for sure if that is true.

    I remember reading somewhere that it could be due to not enough water or the hen being startled during laying.
