Have a bantam rooster that appears to be an Wheaten Old English Game Bantam. Is this breed known for its nasty disposition?

Not usually! OEGBs are typically very friendly little birds. Towards humans, anyways. They do have game ancestry so aggression toward other cocks can certainly be stronger than a typical rooster. But today's OEGBs are not very gamey compared to many other gamefowl breeds.

I think he's competing from afar with the other rooster that is in a separate house and chicken yard. The wheaten has his hens and the other rooster has his hens but he attacked my leg and spurred me. My plan is to kill him with kindness. He was tame as a baby but is growing up. I'm going to get him out of his house and carry him around with me for an hour or two every day and let him figure out I am his buddy and not a threat to his hens. Otherwise I'm going to steer clear.
