Hello! This is my first post as I am new to the BYC Community,
I personally don't own Chickens due to my towns ordinances against them. Dupage county doesn't seem to like the feathered fellows. A family close to me however, owner of 5 hens has recently received a letter asking them to remove their coup. The family has owned the chickens for about 2.5 years now and have used the hens as an educational tool teaching their children about self sustainability and where eggs actually come from.
The issue has in fact made local news, the article is posted below

I would very much appreciate it if you all would check out the petition created by the family, I believe that the city laws should be changed from owning a chicken for 90 days, to however long the owner pleases.
