We have a polish hen who has been wheezing and coughing all day. What should we do?? We are pretty new at chicken raising and no vets around here treat chickens :( :(

Welcome to BYC. Wheezing and coughing are symptoms of a respiratory disease. Mycoplasma (MG,) infectious coryza, infectious bronchitis, and ILT are some of the common ones that can make carriers of a flock for life. Tylan 50 injectable and sulfa drugs such as sulfadimethoxine or Sulmet are sometimes used to treat symptoms, although most diseases may be chronic. Testing is good to get done on a sick chicken to know what exactly you are treating. Here is a good source to read about these diseases, and a link to find testing labs:

Thank you so much!! Aspergillosis was the only one I could find on this link that is at all similar. Though I've read about gapeworm and I wonder if that could be it too...... She seems completely fine other than the loud gasping for air sound and occasional sneeze. I'm going to call a vet friend of a vet friend who works out of the area to try to get more answers too. Thank you again!! Great resources!!!
