When,and how to tell your chicken is about to start laying

How do i tell if my easter egger are about and when like in summer or spring like in what month they are like 5 months now

Ha! Mine have never even considered squatting for me! Flighty little so-and-so's. And a bad influence: they told the isa's they don't have to squat either, and now they're all equally hard to catch.

My girls worship me. They have given me a name. when i come out to the coop they call to the others that i am coming. Just as they call out if a hawk , snake or other things, they have a language .
