Mine were hatched on 3/3. I Started this week with chick grit first, then some greens chopped very fine. Next day I added some mealworms. Next they got some corn & peas added to greens, chopped fine. They also got a little wheat bread today. Oh, also dried kale from our garden. I'm adding a new food each day, slowly. Not too much, their main diet is chick starter.

I think they would be fine with most of those things, especially bugs and eggs. My mama hens start feeding their chicks bugs on day one. [IMG]
