I have a broody millefleur bantam called Betty. I don't have a cockerel so none of her eggs are fertilised, I would like her to sit on some eggs and let them hatch but can I let her sit on eggs that aren't hers? If I can what month is best? Thanks!

a broody hen will sit on anything, so you can definitely put different eggs under her. the best time to hatch is February and March, but you can do any time of the year. good luck!

Thank you salt and pepper. Should I keep to the same breed or will any bantam be ok? X

If she's dedicated, she'll gladly hatch just about anything for you. I used one of my broodies to hatch goose eggs one time, it was hilarious watching her try to sit on goslings that were twice her size. I also let my turkey hen hatch chicken eggs, and she was fine with them. Give that girl some eggs, and watch the cuteness that ensues! Good luck!

you can put any breed under her, even standards! just don't put too many large eggs under her. have fun!
