When can I start adding veggies to my chicks (and duckling) diet?

I am a first time owner of two ducklings and two chicks and I am wondering when I can start adding a little variety to their food?

I start offering them greens in the first week, usually some cabbage or kale chopped up very tiny. I take out anything they don't eat after an hour or so. I also give them a little bit of chopped up hard boiled egg now and then. They LOVE it.

Make sure they have grit if you give them greens.
