my duckies are 18days old and in a 4 1/2'-3' dog kennel. the smell and cleaning the thing out several times a day is killing me. they are just getting there big girl feathers and i live on the olympic penninsula in wa state so the high today might be 47deg. i keep reading that they can go out at 7 wks but they will be really big and stinky by then. when did you all put yours out? i have a duck house with a heat lamp in it. i was wanting to put them out in like 2 more weeks.[IMG]

I brooded my ducklings from day one outside in a fully insulated coop with a lamp for heat. If you can keep the coop warm enough for them, you can put them outside whenever you want.

Yes. I just raised the lamp a bit higher every week to lower the temp.
