When can you trim wing feathers?

    Hello everyone,

    Well the girls are becoming quite the flyers. When is it ok to trim their flight feathers?

    I think when the feathers are grown all the way (not fluffy)

    Oh boy, I'm sure glad you asked that question. My chicken run is way too big for netting and I would hate to have them fly over their fence. As for flying predators, I have a very large maple tree that shades/protects most of the area. [​IMG]
