Hi, what are you using for heat?

I usually put them out when they're a couple days old and give them one or two heat lamps no matter how cold it is.

If you don't have electric outside I would wait till they're about 6 weeks.

we have the same i think , 250w red light ..... i think that ---> right now we have winter so maybe i will wait for 6-7 weeks and then i will take them t the coop (i dont have electricity outside :'( ) because i will need the brooder again about this period.... i hope they dont need heat lamp when they are 1,5-2 months old ... Once fully feathered I put them out as the last ones I put out this
month were 5 weeks old and the temp was down to 8 oC but I
also had 16 of them and in a closed youth holding area for them
to grow with out heat and it is only closed to keep out the wind
and predators and the next ones will be going out in 3 more weeks
but I have 24 in that lot and they will get the youth holding area
and the ones in that cage move over one...
I use it like this if you have enough of them they keep each other
warm and if it gets down to 0 oC which it almost never dose here
even with the snow on the surrounding mountains then I will and
only then put them in a storage shed to keep out of the elements...

well, in my coop i have 1 cage (1m x 0.50m and 0.40 ) it is with little fentch (wire, not sure about the right word) i make that in my free time for the summer, for hens if they lay down,, or for put inside 1 rooster and a hen that i want this kind of egg's.... when my chicks are 5 week old i can take them t the coop and i will have them free the day and inside of that cage for the night.... the wind cannot past inside of the coop when i close it :D

i think they will be ok :)
