I'm not new to geese, but I'm getting a little puzzled over these two. My first two were production African and Toulouse. I think these are Chinese, but I may be mistaken.
My two new geese from a hatchery last April as a mix barnyard special. So far, they've been delightful and friendly -- the one I'm assuming is a male (squeaky honk) is friendly enough to let me pick him up and pet him. They haven't developed their knobs on their heads, but they look a little small to me when I look at my African and Toulouse. When do these guys finish getting their height? Should I assume I have smaller Chinese geese instead of African? I really have to admit I like them a lot.
