When I first got chickens...

When I first got chickens I order the rainbow layer assortment from mcmurry hatchery. They sent 3 roosters and 25 pullets. When they were 15 weeks old we noticed the roosters mounting the hens. I thought the Roos were being mean so I ran outside and knocked them off

, I did this for 2 weeks before I figured out what they were doing!

Well I thought my chicken austro was a roo for her first 6 months of life until I saw "him" lay an egg. So now we call her him and to add to the confusion she now honks like a goose. So we have a gender confused species unsure chicken.

me: OH MY GOD. SHE IS DYING! SHE is DYYYYING.

My grandma: "Dom" (my nick name) .. "i dont think.."

Me: "OH MY GOD, SHE IS DYING! WHAT DO I DO?!?!?!" MY face:

The chicken: *gets up from dirt and gets a drink"

My grandma:

Me:

me: *googles chicken in dust"

Results: Dustbathing u idiot.
