When it rains it pours.... Silly chickens, I can't catch a break

So as many of you know we are in the middle of a huge egg recall. Of course my hens have decided to take a break and I am only getting maybe 5 eggs total a day out of 30 hens. So yesterday I had to keep turning people down at the farmers market...... So then today I get a message that I am featured on our local towns blog. So now my inbox is overflowing with people wanting eggs. Come on girls please start earning your keep and help me out here. LOL

Another BYC'er and I were talking last night about how much egg production has slowed down. I have 55 hens. Today I have collected 8 eggs, and that is up from earlier in the week. My friend has 13 hens and is getting about 4 eggs a day. I think they are all silently protesting their other feathered friends that are now making news.
