When LF stands for "loves fig newtons"

On July 9th 2018 my LF salmon faverolles chick Rene was delivered.

She quickly outgrew her sisters, which was perplexing.

Then things evened out...whew!

Still pretty normal.

Not normal,yesterday the day Rene laid her first egg. LF stood for loves fig newtons, which she does.

This is her egg next to her slightly by four months older sister's egg.

OMG - she is sooooo cute! Love that beard! Bet that egg is tastier than fig newtons!

She is cute, her egg comes in around 40 grams while the bigger ladies hit 60 so she is really doing pretty good.
She laid another one today, both times in the nest too. Very proud of her.

Too weird, hubby brought home some fig newtons a few hours ago out of the blue and, of course, the first thing I asked was "can my chickens eat them" LOL He said, "I didn't buy them for the chickens." But of course he did.... *evil Chicken Momma laugh*
