When people lose their meat birds...

    What do they do with them? Are they safe to eat if found shortly after death?[​IMG]

    Any that die of natural causes go directly to compost or a local place that you can bury bones. I would not eat any that did not die at processing.

    I have a meat bird for a pet ~ when that day comes, she'll be taken to the humane society to be cremated. If I were raising a whole bunch for eating, I think I'd probably call for the City and County dead animal pick-up since I live smack in the middle of the city.

    CAUTION:: Its a real health hazard to eat dead meat (if its not fish).
