I had posted a couple of weeks ago that my BA's had been hiding in their coop all day and was told that they were probably scared off by a predator. Well, a few days after my post they began coming back out and acting more normally (every once in a while they will still all go in the coop but only for a short period). Before they were stressed out they had been laying 19-22 eggs a day (I have 25 pullets and 3 roos), but for the past couple of weeks have only been getting 3-4 eggs a day. What do I need to do? Just be patient. A real scare can stop their production for up to two weeks. Start giving them more treats, spend time with them, make them feel secure. Give it time. I have 16 layers and some days I get 12 eggs and some days I get 3.....
