My red stars (red sex links) were hatched two weeks ago today. They all already have some decent looking wing feathers, but I haven't seen any tail feathers yet. Does someone with this breed know when I should expect them? Just curious
I have a couple red stars that are 4 weeks old today. They are getting lots of beautiful red feathers. Their tail feathers do seem to be coming in a little slower as compared to the leghorns in the same batch. But not as slow as the orphingtons or the wyandottes. They will all feather out eventually!
Thank you for the reply. Question due in part to ignorance and in part to impatience. Just want to compare my little ones to normal progress. Thanks for the info.
