When to graduate from chick feeder to big bird feeder?

My chicks are supposedly 4 weeks old (I think they are 5 weeks). When do you change them from the chick feeder with the little holes to a regular, more open feeder?

I have DIY ones that I switched out each 4 weeks with bigger holes to something that will hold more feed when they lay it will be switched to a 5 galon bucket with a big dish for feed.. so I would say now would be a good time.

Whenever you think the chicks can successfully eat from the bigger feeder and whatever works best for you.

Mine learn to take the top off of my slide top chick feeder. They fill the other one with pine shavings from scratching around so much! At this point, I take out the baby feeders and put in a regular feeder.
