I have six two month old chickens and two adult hens. I live in Vermont and it is getting cold. When can they safely go out in the coop with my adult hens? TIA for any help.

They can go out now in a look-don't-touch arrangement in the coop and run.
After several days, fashion their enclosure such that they can get out but the hens cannot get in so they have a refuge to return to.

Whoa, they could have went out three months ago lol!
Agree with the look but don't touch introduction phase.
But, and this is a big stinky one!
You have a tiny flock, your older girls will peck, harass, chase just basically be little demons to your young girls.
This is normal.
You'll need an extra feeder/waterer because your mature girls will guard theirs, and you'll probably have to put a roost up for the newbies, same reason there will be ZERO sharing.
When new girls start to lay things will be much less hectic.:)
