[IMG] I have several chicks this size and I was wondering if anybody can tell me when it would be okay to put them in a coop?

I put mine in the coop in a separate, but connected brooder box at 3 weeks. At 5 weeks I let them mingle with the other chickens and they are fully integrated a few weeks after that.

If your chicks are fully feathered, they can go out in the coop.

    You're welcome! [IMG]

I can only handle the dust in the house for so long, then out they go with a brooder plate!

What kind of chickens do you have?

I was wondering the same thing. My chicks are 6&7 weeks old. Dust in the house is getting ridiculous. I bring them or in the sun when is nice but some days are still 30 degrees and snow last night. [IMG][/IMG]

As long as the coop has good ventilation but no drafts, they'll be fine. They have a down coat under those feathers!

Judging from the size of that chick, they are long overdue to move into the coop.
