I know I've seen this discussed, but I can't find it now, and I've searched for literally several hours... [IMG]
Anyway, I know the standard figures for incubation time are 21 days for chickens and 28 days for guineas, and I know that chickens often hatch a day or two early under a broody, but rarely in the incubator, and it seems from what I'm reading that guineas often hatch as much as 4-5 days early, even in the incubator? So, how long should I wait after placing the guinea eggs before I add the chicken eggs? I actually put 4 guinea eggs under my broody 2 days ago, and am wondering when to add chicken eggs (and how many). My chicken is a Catalana, so maybe slightly bigger than a Leghorn, but smaller than my Rocks.
Thanks! And someone wants to just share a link where this has been discussed before, I'm fine with that, I just couldn't find it!

There is a wealth of information about broodies on there and I have been on it as a lurker for quite some time. I dont think your question has been posted there yet. I also know there are quite a few here that can answer it for you too.

    hope this helps.

Oh, hey! Yeah, I follow that one and I think I've read most of it, but I didn't think about posting the question there! I was pretty sure it hadn't been answered there yet, and I'm almost certain the best information I've seen about trying to get the chicks & keets to hatch at the same time was on this forum, but yes, it's worth a shot! Thanks! (I'm just a little afraid the chicken people will be just doing the math (28-21 means set the chickens 7 days after the guineas) but I'm almost certain I've seen it advised here to add the chicken eggs sooner than 7 days.)
