4 days ago two of my ducks were attacked by a dog. They are both doing really well and healing nicely. They have thick black scabs over their cuts. How do I know when to put them back outside? They're getting restless cooped up in my garage.

You have to make sure that flies don't get on the scabs. They lay eggs in the sore and maggots will start eatting at the sore. Is there anyway you can put a bandage over the scabs?

Or coat the scabs real well with something like Swat Fly Repellent Ointment or Bag Balm to repel against flies.
