We had a chicken that was attacked about four days ago. She lost a softball size amount of feathers on her back and has several wounds ranging from dime sized to half-dollar sized on the bare skin. We immediately isolated her and she is doing surprisingly well. She is eating and drinking and walking around chatting with anyone who will listen. Her back is scabbed over and showing no signs of infection. My question is how long should we keep her isolated? We have 8 other hens that free range during the day and we close them up at night.

[IMG]. I would wait until it feathers over some. Hens are notorious for pecking wounds and can causer further damage,
