When to remove hen saddle

I have a hen who's back is looking pretty bad so I put a saddle on her. I'm wondering how long you keep them on. Until they molt and get their new feathers? Do some people leave them on all the time? It seems like they should get a break from wearing it, but then again I don't want her back damaged more.

Definitely until she has her feathers in, and all/most of the time if she is the favorite hen, checking regularly as she won't be able to dust well and she could get overgrowth of parasites.

You may consider separating the roo out to give the hens a break, or giving her some quality time alone perhaps with another femaile buddy or anyone other than the roo.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it seems like leaving it on all the time wouldn't be healthy for her.
