Never Hatched Keets Before With Silkie ..when Do I Take Them From Hen?
I would leave them with her until they are at least 4 weeks old. By then they will probably leave her at night to roost higher than she can go!
I should have added this..silkie is sitting on eggs, I was curious do silkies leave eggs to tend to keets are will she remain sitting? ( I understand birds all are different) interested in experiences of hatching guineas with silkies.
Take them away when she is no longer brooding them. I allowed one of my Silkies to hatch keets a few years ago. I did not remove the keets even after they were ready to get out and about. Then one day one of the keets nailed one of my girls in the head and caused a head injury. That was the last time I let one of my Silkies hatch keets.
If that girl is on eggs she either has to get off them to tend to the keets or remove the keets while she finishes up the hatch.
