when will baby chicks start laying eggs?

    they are 2 1/2 months old so how much longer till they start laying.

    5 - 6 months old is when they start laying.

    You have a ways to go. If they are ten weeks old, then you probably have at least 8 or more weeks until they lay. I think the average is around 20-25 weeks of age for most standard breeds.
