Do you mean what time of year? Age?

Generally it seems to be the best time to do it is when they decide to go it [IMG] Go broody that is [IMG]

I've been successful with this sort of thing year round. Of course more vigilance is necessary in the colder temperatures. I have a hen with a 2 week old chick right now, at night I need to assure the chick has made it into the coop (it can take up to 3 weeks for them to consistently 'get it').
