I was sitting her thinking of all the pictures I have seen on this site, and it has been AGES since I've seen a picture of a Speckled Sussex. Is this breed being less popular, or are they just hiding?

  2. I have a few SS in the brooder and more in the 'bator! [IMG]

I have one. And it's a roo and my DD named him Oliver the minute he was hatched.

    Here is Oliver: Day old:

    Week old:

    8 Weeks:

I'll probably end up selling him or crossing him with some of my EEs just for fun.

Hey, Mahonri, you sure that's a cockerel? Looks a bit girly to me! Here is my Nelda, my little eating machine with the Olive Oyl voice. Her eggs are still quite small, though she is two years old or so.

I was thinking the same thing. "He" looks more like a "she" to me(no rhyming intended). I love my SS babies. They are soo cute and loving.
