As far as I know, there are no plans for sale in the forums. But many folks do detailed articles with photos and materials lists. There are similar plans in most coop building books. You can google search for coop plans and several on line companies do sell plans.

    Good luck with the project.

A lot of similar coops in the Coops section of the site. If the birds aren't allowed to free range every day, I'd build the run a lot bigger than that though.

    Hi Doug,
Thank you for sharing the link to your new coop. I love it! It turned out awesome and gave me some extra ideas! I also love the naked cat, I have a naked dog :) I purchased a book yesterday that I believe has something very close to what I'm looking for in it. My husband and I are very handy people, but I wanted plans so I could do most of it myself since he works long hours, and gets tired of my "pet projects". I have purchased 8 splash silkie chicks to go in my new coop already, so I better get busy! I will post pictures soon. Here is a link to the book I purchased http://www.amazon.com/dp/1440316961/ref=pe_385040_128020140_TE_3p_dp_1 I believe what they refer to as "cooke's walk-in" is close to what I'm looking for. We will see! Wish me luck!!!

Chris, I'm jsut going to repeat this so that you're aware. With 8 birds, the pictured coop is WAY too small. That run looks like it would comfortably fit maybe 4-5 tops. And that's pushing it.

I will make it larger. I was just saying I want that style. And also, I've ordered 8 chicks in hopes to end up with a trio of silkies. They will for the most part be free range, but I need something to keep them in while I'm not home for a weekend etc... My plans are to build it 4 x 8.
