Greetings to All:
Retired military family finally settled down in semi-urban Oklahoma but still under the thumb of municipal ordinance. Despite the later, my wife has the green thumb and is all about being successful in urban farming. We recently aquired six chicks for laying and are excited to see how it goes. Although we purchased the chicks from our local farm surplus we're pretty certain that we were given 3 pullets and 3 cockerels instead of 6 pullets - still not sure on sex or breed. Lol.
We're looking forward to hearing from the community and we welcome any tips or even general conversation.
