where do I tie it to make the exposed yolk sac fall off, I asked in my other thread but got no response and do I leave the floss there or do I cut the floss off after the yolk fell off

I know this is kind of late.. is she doing well?
Glad to hear it!She is doing great she’s back with the hen and the other chicks she still has the umbilical cord but the hen and chicks aren’t picking at it, she does have a runny stool but that’s slowly firming up

That’s good to hear! Mine survived! I isolated each chick, used iodine to clean the sac, and then bandaid to stick their yolk sac to their belly, so they wouldnt step on their sac. Then i waited for about 2 days until the sac completely dried up, then i cut the dried sac.So sorry mine is great and laying eggs!
