Once I get rid of one of my roosters I maybe getting mor hens to improve my egg production.
Are you looking for adult birds that can be shipped? I think I've seen that somewhere, but it was extremely expensive. I'd suggest buying the birds locally.
Hi and welcome to BYC.
Once you have made 20 posts you can participate on the "buy/sell/trade" forum but theres no reason not to take a look and see whats on offer.
You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - just type the name of your state in the search box.
All the best
Would it be better to get female pullets online?
Sorry, i cannot really help you on that - I live in Kenya. Personally, if the breeds you would like are available locally, I'd always go that route.
Here you go. This is what I saw before. It's just so expensive that you are better off buying birds locally. There are farms in my area that sell started pullets and I've also found people doing that on craigslist (just be careful and house the birds far away from your current flock until you know they are completely healthy).
Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us!
If you buy started birds or point of lay pullets, you won't be stuck with "accidental," roosters.
That's what I've been trying to do but I can't find them
Dose any one know how to tell if the chick is a hen or a rooster.
