About the right size/ age to be ready for Thanksgiving? I can't seem to find any anywhere.
Try Craigslist farm and garden section in your area, if you cant find an ad selling them then place an ad wanting them. Craigslist is a great local resource when I am trying to find nearly anything.

Yes, I have had a great deal of luck on Craig's List in the last few weeks. I found myself a breeding trio of heritage meat breed chickens, four turkeys, a couple of weaner pigs... even a cow, though unfortunately I cannot afford her. But they're all there in our area, I just needed to look!
Craigs List or check to see if you have any local poultry swaps in your area. If you were in Florida I've got two grow-out pens of Midget Whites that will be ready for the holidays but that won't help you on the left coast. Chances are you've got someone in your area who has birds. It'll just take some searching. Local feed stores often have bulletin boards where people list such things.
If you want to drive up to Mira Loma, I am selling all ages, every color this Sunday. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/grd/2483479322.html
