Where to surrender chickens?

I need to say "goodbye" to 4 hens ASAP due to change in health. Where do I surrender my girls? I don't want to see them go to processing - they are great layers and keep the bugs away. Thanks.

Sorry about your health issues--been there, done that, it's not fun for anyone.

If you put your location in your profile you may find there's a BYC member locally who would love to have some good layers and would probably even pay you for them.

You can run an ad on Craigslist, that's how I sell all my birds.

If you don't like either of the above options, you can try calling your local animal shelters or rescues and see if someone can come pick them up today.
