Which Bluekote to buy?

I've got a little pecking and feather pulling going on. I need to get some Bluekote so I am ready in case any blood gets drawn.
But- which to get?
Some say Gentian Violet works the same- and is very cheap in comparison to Bluekote.
Spray / dauber / wand in the bottle?
Advice???

It really doesn't matter. Just be aware the stuff stains horribly. I prefer the bottle with the dauber, which I don't use. Instead, to control the amount and to get it exactly where I want it without staining the entire chicken and my hands and arms and clothing, I use a Q-tip.

Yes- I was thinking that would be better than the spray. Someone commented that it tends to get everywhere- even if you are careful.
