I want a quiet, calm, friendly duck that will do well with kids and preferably lay well. Needs to be able to get along with other animals easily and not be too timid.
My choices are Buff, Silver Appleyard, Runner, Pekin, Rouen, Khaki Campbell, and call ducks
I have one silver appleyard duckling at home and would be purchasing one or two more, they do not have to be the same breed though. Probably cannot get specific sexes, so needs to be a breed overview. Oh and I need to know ASAP! I hope to get it tonight

My suggestion is a Welsh Harlequin. They are great layers, VERY docile, will go broody, and you can sex them upon hatching from their beak color. Harlequins are primarily raised for their wonderful practical attributes. They are highly adaptable, outstanding layers producing 240-330 white shelled eggs yearly and very active foragers.

Here are a pic of my duck and drake:

Here is a pic of Thelma and Louise (they were hatched two days ago in our incubator and the parents are pictured above):

I would not recommend Campbells. I love mine but the are a bit skittish. A calmer breed would do better with kids.

Looks like I have to get buffs or silver appleyards if I want to get it tonight. Anyone have a preference based on my criteria?

I like buffs but can only say based upon my own research, as mine don't arrive till later this spring lol They are tolerant, mix well with others, and good foragers, that is why i chose to add them into my flock(which is 100% Muscovy!)
