I have been getting a wide range of shades of brown eggs for weeks now but yesterday I got a white one. Brahma maybe??

What breeds of hens do you have? Leghorns, Lakenvelders, Production Black, and several other breeds lay white eggs. [IMG]

    Brahmas lay brown eggs.

I think ones with white ear lobes lay white eggs and ones with red earlobes lay brown.

I have one brahma, some Jersey Giants, 2 EE, a few BSL's, and RIR's. And some that are a slightly lighter color than the RIR's.

Leghorns are very good layers that lay white.

Quote:I'm going to say it's the "slightly lighter color"ed ones that are laying the white eggs. But it could possibly be the EEs.
