Which end first?

Please help settle a bet. We all know that a typical egg has a pointed end, and a round end. Which end comes out first when they're laid?

I'm thinking the pointy end is coming out first by these xrays. I hope the link works, otherwise just search "xray" at the top of the page.

I was betting on the large end coming out first too, but those xrays clearly show the egg emerging pointed end first. Now I have to tell DW she was right.
